Each person you meet can add something to your own knowledge and you to theirs if they are of a mind to absorb it. Ego and inflated self-worth are generally the obstructions to their ability to do so.
I read a story of a young student attending an art museum and when no on one was looking, he set his glasses on the floor and walked away. When he came back, people were studying the glasses, taking photos and trying to discern the deeper meaning behind the artist's bold statement. That is, until he walked over and picked up his glasses.
