Lullaby for the Shepherds

A soporific song

The Annunciation to the Shepherds, John Martin

What is a lullaby without a melody? I tried to come up with something that fit the words and the form. I've only recorded the first verse. The entire song was over 5 minutes and I figured one verse was enough to give you a tune so that maybe you could sing the entire song, if you're so inclined. Please let me know if you do! It would be a wonderful thing to know something I made in my little corner of the world is being enjoyed in yours. I think you can sing it as a round, which, if true, would be amazing and kind of a dream come true. But I only tried it once so I'm not totally sure. If you manage it, would you please share?
